Warning Letter

A warning letter is a formal document issued by an employer under the Human Resources (HR) processes to an employee for misbehavior, misconduct, or poor performance. The letter is useful in setting expectations for future proper behavior. It is a formal method of communicating and taking action to correct the issue and take control of it in accordance with Company Policy. When repeated instances of verbal communication fail to produce the desired changes in the employee’s disposition or attitude, a written warning letter is issued.
